Corrections are the most useful thing you can send us. A link to the source that contradicts a figure here is the fastest route to getting it changed.

If a number here is wrong

Tell us, and include the source. Every figure on this site is either quoted from a named document or computed from published data with the arithmetic shown, so a correction is usually settled by comparing two sources rather than by argument.

When we have got something wrong we fix it at the top of the affected page with a dated correction note - not silently. That is set out in the editorial policy and it is one of the few things a new publisher can offer that an anonymous one cannot.

What is most useful to send

  • A figure that contradicts one of ours, with a link to where it comes from.
  • A model that has been discontinued or replaced, so we can pull or update the page rather than leaving a dead recommendation up.
  • A manufacturer document we have missed - especially a specification sheet with a published wattage, because those are genuinely scarce in this category.
  • A question the site does not answer. If you had to look elsewhere for something, that is a gap worth knowing about.
  • A page that reads as commercially motivated. Commission never sets a ranking here, and if a page looks like it does, we want to know.

What we cannot do

We cannot diagnose a specific unit remotely, and we will not invent a repair procedure for a sealed refrigerant system. Where a symptom points at one, the honest answer is a warranty claim or a technician, and that is what the troubleshooting pages say.

We also do not accept products for review, because we do not test products. We are not being polite about that - there is nothing to send anything to.

Publisher

The Dry Index is published by Slate Mill Group. It is a national publisher with no premises and no service area, which is why there is no address or phone number on this page - inventing either would be exactly the kind of thing the rest of the site argues against.

#adThe Dry Index earns a commission on qualifying purchases made through links on this site, at no extra cost to you. It never changes a ranking. Full disclosure.
