The number that makes it worth recommending

Sixteen feet. It sounds trivial and it is the most useful thing any maker in this class publishes, because the whole reason to buy a pump model is to reach a specific place and every other manufacturer leaves you guessing whether it will.

The caveat is real and worth keeping in view: sixteen feet is a hose run, not a lift. Sixteen feet across a flat floor is easy for any condensate pump; sixteen feet that includes twelve feet of vertical rise is a different demand. GE has told you about the easier constraint. Which is the clearest available demonstration that the coverage figure is not a specification. Nothing physical distinguishes these machines' ability to dry a room; what differs is how ambitious each copywriter was. GE's conservatism is mildly to its credit and is not a reason to prefer it.
